An original vintage Teak Scandia Senior chair, designed in 1957 by acclaimed Norwegian designer Hans Brattrud for Hove Møbler.
These iconic chairs feature gently curved backs formed from laminated wood slats, offering a sleek, sculptural profile. Raised on elegant chromed wire bases with minimalist hairpin legs, the chairs embody the clean, functional aesthetic of mid-century Scandinavian design. Their lightweight structure also allows them to be conveniently stackable.
Comfort meets craftsmanship in these chairs, their contoured, organic shape is designed to follow the form of the body, providing excellent support and visual appeal.
The Scandia series is celebrated internationally, having received:
-
The Gold Medal at the International Arts and Crafts Fair, Munich (1967)
-
The Award for Design Excellence by the Norwegian Design Council (1967)
-
The Interior Innovation Award at IMM Cologne (2006)
