About the artist:
Painter and engraver, he was born in Nancy in 1937, in Montpellier he is a professor in computing (2D-3D) to the School of Fine Arts. Vermeille is an artist with multiple facets, the artist navigates between classic concerns; space drawn among gold, paint to program or presence of the spiritual and the reality in the picture (reference admitted to Vassili Kandinsky). He uses the hybridization of the forms, the complexity of the new tools (such as the Computer-aided design) and the strength of a sharp, cutting drawing, which seems to define a space of chaos. He is present in museums such those of Marseille (Cantini museum), Montpellier, Belfort, Paris (Louvre, Cabinet des estampes) and M.O.M.A of New York.
