About the designer :
Florence Knoll (1917–2019) was an American architect and designer who significantly influenced modern interior design and revolutionized the postwar American workplace. Under the mentorship of renowned architects such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Knoll developed a design philosophy centered on functionality, simplicity, and geometric precision. As a co-founder of Knoll Associates, she introduced modernist design principles to corporate interiors, creating open-plan workspaces furnished with sleek, minimalist furniture. Her work has left a lasting legacy in both residential and commercial design.
