This is a fabulous set of 17 Lenox custom order service plates with undulating "wave" borders, trimmed in silver. Made exclusively by Black, Starr and Frost, Gorham, this Art Deco pattern was designed for Marjorie Merriweather Post and used on her yacht, the "Sea Cloud". An example of this service is displayed at "Hillwood", her home in Washington, DC. The borders are evocative of ocean waves ready for display, service or dinner plates either at home or on your yacht! Excellent condition commensurate with age, Made in America ca. 1920's
