A very fine 18th century Zhiting school chinese hand carved agate snuff bottle encarved with miniature Taotie masks to the side - where there is some aging corrosion - please see image provided .
Topped by a natural coral ,bronze gilded edged collared , stopper with its original silver metal spoon still attached securely sealing the contents airtightly inside.
The rare beautiful naturally formed smokey ash ,appears within the butterscotch agate, sweeping around the bottle giving it a mysterious sense of style.
This bottle dates to the Qianlong period, Qing Dynasty.
Overall very good condition considering age, lovely patina. Some corrosion on the side of the bottle which we have tried to photograph as clearly as possible.
