Arts and Crafts 1902-03 Silver Bowl by Oliver Baker for Liberty London Cymric


1900s (1902-1903) Arts and Crafts era silver bowl embellished with blue lapis, designed by Oliver Baker for Liberty & Co, Birmingham. 

Boasting glamour and elegance, this is an exceptionally rare item that would make for a beautiful decorative piece.

This is an early design and one of the earliest hallmark for a Liberty & Co Cymric piece.

About the designer:

Oliver Baker (1856-1939) was an English painter, etcher, designer and silversmith, best known for his role in the development of the Cymric Silverware line for Liberty & Co.

Oliver Baker was born in Birmingham, the son of the artist Samuel Henry Baker.
