About the designer:
George Nelson (1908-1986) was a pioneering American industrial designer, architect, and writer whose influential work helped shape mid-century modern design. Known for his forward-thinking approach, Nelson designed numerous timeless pieces, such as the Coconut Chair, Marshmallow Sofa, and Bubble Lamps, which remain design classics today.
