A rare set of 8 Kai Kristiansen's iconic Model 42 dining chairs, produced by cabinetmaker Schous Mobelfabrik in Denmark, 1960s. These chairs are one of Kristiansen's most famous works. The design features a sculptural, ergonomic design with a curved backrest and armrests and are highly sought after by collectors.
The full set have been professionally repolished Rosewood frames with their seat and back cushions recently reupholstered in premium Asa Parson 100% wool fabric. The back pad has a tilt function for added comfort.

Kai Kristiansen is a renowned Danish furniture designer associated with the mid-century modern movement, known for his timeless and elegant designs. Born in Denmark in 1929, he began his career as a cabinetmaker before studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under the famed architect and designer Kaare Klint. His designs are characterized by their clean lines, functionality, and exceptional craftsmanship, which embody the principles of Scandinavian design.
