1920's Marcel Bruer Desk Lamp - SOLD

Designed for the International Expositio of Modern Industrial Decorative Arts, Paris 1925, this lamp features an interesting structure along with marble detailing.
 
Articulating full movement up and down with fill 360 rotation, this lamp is composed of brass plated nickel, granite inlay bearing the Paris Exposition Marcel Breuer engraving. 
 
About the designer:
 
The architect and designer Marcel Breuer was one the 20th century’s most influential and innovative pioneers of modernism. While at the Bauhaus furniture workshop, Breuer realized his signature innovation: the use of lightweight tubular-steel frames. Breuer’s design objects are elegant and adaptable examples of classic modernist design — useful and appropriate in any environment.
