About the Designer:
Axel Larsson (1895-1975) was a leading Swedish designer and architect, some of his most poignant projects were the Gothenburg Concert Hall and Hotel Park Avenue. Larsson worked under Karl Malmsten, a legend of design. He went from an employee of SMF-Bodafors factory (one of the largest furniture manufacturers in Sweden) to a head artist when his designs were distinguished at the Stockholm Decorative Arts Exhibition in 1930. He went on to form his own independent design company, which continues to produce his designs.
