Pair of Large Mahogany Armchairs Model Ode A La Femme by Olivier Schrijver

These Belgian armchairs feature sculptural, sinuous shaped mahogany armrests and back, with sculpted curved seats.

These chairs are surprisingly comfortable as they naturally compliment the human form.

Beautiful and rare, these are an interesting and unique take on an armchair, making them the perfect addition to any interior.

We are unsure of the exact date of these chairs, however we believe them to be late 20th century.

About the designer:

Olivier de Schrijver is a Belgian Postwar & Contemporary artist and recognised designer, who has exhibited at the Design Museum in Brussels.

Born in 1958, Schrijver was largely inspired creatively by the 1970s.

The 1970s were a period of consolidation and progress in the arts. Conceptual art developed as an influential movement, a partial evolution of and response to minimalism.
