A fantastic rare set of 4 dining chairs from Robin day for Hile 1950's These chairs originally designed for the royal festival hall are simply stunning.
This set of 4 chairs has had full restoration.The steel frame has been colour matched and re-powder coated black. The chairs have new foam and have been covered in a beautiful fabric with a subtle pattern.
About the Designer:
Robin Day was an iconic British industrial designer, best known for his injection-moulded polypropylene stacking chairs – more than 20 million of which have been manufactured – and his later collaboration with Habitat. He rose to prominence in 1951 when he came up with the seating for the Festival of Britain.
